Which specific product is rated for your system depends on whether it is hydronic or electric and the maximum temperature it runs, which is a spec-sheet match rather than a category rule.
Before you look at a single sample, there is a five-minute check you can run on the system itself. It will not choose your floor for you, but it tells you exactly what kind of decision you are actually making.
What you can check yourself, right now
Look at the thermostat or control panel for the system and see whether it names a maximum surface temperature it is set to run. Note whether the documentation, or the installer if you can reach them, describes the system as hydronic, tubing carrying heated water, or electric, a mat or cable embedded closer to the surface. And find out how it is built in: cast directly into a concrete slab, or laid as a thin panel or mat under an existing wood subfloor. None of this requires opening anything up. It is paperwork and a look at the control, and it is the same information a showroom conversation eventually needs anyway.
What that check actually tells you
It tells you the shape of the installation decision ahead of you. A system cast into a slab generally points toward a glue-down installation, bonding the new floor directly to the concrete for full contact and more direct heat transfer. A thin electric mat or panel under an existing subfloor generally points toward a floating installation instead, since nailing through a mat or cable is not a safe option and a floating floor stays independent of the layer the heating element is bedded in. What that check does not tell you
It does not tell you which specific product, from which manufacturer, is rated to sit on that system. That number, the maximum surface temperature a given plank or tile is approved for, is printed on the product's own specification sheet, and it is the figure that actually decides compatibility, not a general sense of whether the floor feels warm to the touch on a given day. A touch test tells you the system is running. It does not tell you whether today's setting is anywhere near the ceiling that specific product can handle, and a system that feels mild in October can run considerably harder in January.

It does not tell you the maximum it can reach, and a system running mild in fall can climb considerably by the middle of winter, well past what a touch test in October would suggest.
