St. Charles County

The store is in it, so this is the county we cover most closely. Fifteen towns here have a page of their own, from Wentzville and O'Fallon out to Augusta, Defiance and Portage Des Sioux, and there is a St. Charles County page for the county as a whole. St. Paul and the unincorporated ground between the towns are covered the same way. Drive times inside the county run from five minutes to about fifty.

Warren County

Warren County is the run west on Interstate 70. Warrenton and Wright City sit on it, Innsbrook and Marthasville sit south of it, and Foristell straddles the county line with St. Charles. Those four towns have pages, and so does Warren County itself. Open highway most of the way keeps the drive predictable.

St. Louis County

Eight St. Louis County cities have a page of their own: Ballwin, Chesterfield, Creve Coeur, Ellisville, Eureka, Manchester, Maryland Heights and Wildwood. Chesterfield is 21.6 road miles east southeast and about 29 minutes across the Missouri River. The St. Louis County page covers the county as a unit, and the rest of the county is covered as well. Traffic rather than mileage is what makes that drive vary, so it is worth calling early rather than late.

Lincoln County

Lincoln County is north, and Troy is the town named here. Lincoln County has a page of its own, and so do Troy, Moscow Mills, Winfield, Old Monroe and Hawk Point. You call, we measure, we quote, we install. The drive is longer, so the calendar matters more.

• Wentzville, 2.5 road miles, about 5 minutes, and the showroom is in town, so it is the shortest trip we make.
• Foristell, 3.9 road miles, about 6 minutes, on the line between St. Charles and Warren counties.
• Lake Saint Louis, 6.1 road miles, about 10 minutes, a planned lake community that has been building steadily for fifty years.
• Flint Hill, 7.7 road miles, about 12 minutes, north northeast of the store in St. Charles County.
• Wright City, 7.8 road miles, about 12 minutes, the first Warren County town on the run west.
• Josephville, 8.7 road miles, about 14 minutes, east northeast in St. Charles County.
• New Melle, 9.4 road miles, about 15 minutes, south of the store in St. Charles County.
• O'Fallon, 10.9 road miles, about 15 minutes, straight east of the store and the shortest of the eastern drives.
• Dardenne Prairie, 10.9 road miles, about 17 minutes, the same mileage as O'Fallon by a different route.
• Innsbrook, 14.1 road miles, about 29 minutes, a Warren County village where the miles are short and the minutes are not.
• Weldon Spring, 14.9 road miles, about 19 minutes.
• Cottleville, about 15 road miles, roughly twenty minutes.
• Warrenton, 15.4 road miles, about 23 minutes, where the Warren County school district and a library branch sit.
• Moscow Mills, 16.1 road miles, about 23 minutes, the near end of Lincoln County.
• Saint Peters, 16.2 road miles, about 23 minutes east, an established and largely built out community.
• Troy, 18.6 road miles, about 26 minutes, the Lincoln County seat.
• Defiance, 18.6 road miles, about 30 minutes, a very small unincorporated community in the Femme Osage valley.
• Old Monroe, 20.7 road miles, about 29 minutes, northeast in Lincoln County near where the Cuivre meets the Mississippi.
• Chesterfield, 21.6 road miles, about 29 minutes, east southeast across the Missouri River.
• Saint Charles, 22.1 road miles, about 30 minutes, due east and the far edge of the regular eastern run.
• Hawk Point, 24.5 road miles, about 35 minutes, out at the inland end of Lincoln County.
• Augusta, 24.5 road miles, about 36 minutes, and the oldest housing stock of any town we write a page for.
• Marthasville, 24.7 road miles, about 37 minutes, on the river facing southern edge of Warren County.
• Winfield, 24.9 road miles, about 35 minutes, on the Lincoln County flood plain edge.

Two very small places, and what each page will and will not print

One of the places on that list is small enough that published housing statistics stop meaning anything for it, and it is worth saying so plainly rather than printing a figure we cannot stand behind.

Defiance, 18.6 road miles, about 30 minutes. A very small unincorporated community in the Femme Osage valley, with larger custom lots. Unincorporated areas are administered by St. Charles County rather than by a city. We do not publish housing statistics for a community this size, because the published figures describe the wider ZIP code rather than the place itself.

Portage Des Sioux is the other very small place on this map, a river town near the Mississippi confluence at 36.7 road miles and about 50 minutes. It now has a page of its own, which sets out where its figures come from and what they can carry. It is the longest drive on this page, which is worth knowing when you plan the timing.

St. Paul in St. Charles County has no page of its own, and neither does the unincorporated ground between the towns that do. No page, same free estimate, same measure, same crews.

How far we will travel, honestly

Distance does not change what we do. It changes the calendar. A Wentzville measure is a short errand. A Portage Des Sioux measure at 50 minutes each way takes a real piece of a day, and so does anything in Lincoln or Warren County. That is not a problem, it is an appointment.
