The kitchen is the room people ring us about first, and it is where the route starts. It is also the room with the most doors in it. A door to the garage that swings inward over whatever level you finish at has to be checked before the finished height is set, and so does the door on the far side that the floor carries on through. A plank floor chosen by people who are staying

79.0 percent of occupied homes in the village are lived in by their owners, and it changes what is worth asking. When a floor is going into a house somebody intends to keep, the sensible questions are about the next decade rather than the next viewing: how it takes a dropped pan, what happens at the door where everybody comes in from a gravel drive, and whether a damaged plank in year six can be dealt with without lifting the room. Those answers depend on the product, and they are worth twenty minutes at the measure.
